Cherished Dogs

We are such bad owners. I had it planned that two weeks ago we would get going on the new routine for all the dogs, but we didn't as sadly life got in the way a bit as it tends to do for us of late.
Anyway, from tomorrow we will get cracking on the routine, otherwise the girls will not be fit for the season.
We did want to get as much rabbit work/pigeon shooting done over the summer with Jay Jay as possible to give her plenty of experience for the coming season but that didn't happen either. One wonders how with such little experience that our girls are such diamonds, we are very lucky to have them.
On the good side however, Tinks was finally allowed back into the water as it has been 6 weeks since her first season ended and therefore should be out of danger of any infection getting into her womb as it can if allowed into water before then.
She loved it and I really enjoyed it :) Gary and Ellie came along with us, them two are a cracking pair. It will be nice to get on with each girls training as even with just a few days training a week for each one,
they are coming along well and are two totally different but gorgeous girls.

They have all been to the cuckmere over the past two weeks, a great place to take them when it is to hot to do anything else.
Jay Jay as always, just amazed us with her commitment as she leapt of a bank with a 4ft drop, which she repeated when she did it two more times, each time with the dokken duck in mouth.
We have to go careful with Jay Jay as she can get bored of dummy retrieves, but when she is not bored that girl will give you more than 100%. I hold my heart in my hand when she is on game as she smashes through the bushes without any thought to herself, though it is a joy to watch her.
Last night we launched dummies into the maize field which is so high at the moment that the first time we did it Jay Jay couldn't find it, but I had faith in her so we did it again and hey-presto she brought the dummy back, lord knows how she found it. We did it 3 more times and everytime she found it, great confidence builder for her. We will do that it again in a week or two.
